#2019ReadingChallenge: Book 14

Book 14: Sharp Objects by Jillian Flynn

I forgot how much I love Gillian’s writing.
I remember why I had to take a break from reading her after Gone Girl.

I also just finished the show and noticed they changed this part. It was still good and had the same message, but I liked the book version better.

Book 13: My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands by Chelsea Handler

*giggle fit*
Jeff: “There’s no way your book can be that funny”
Me: “It’s one of Chelsea Handler’s books”
Jeff: “Ok maybe it is”
*continues giggle fit*

It really was. I can’t wait to read her other books.

#2019ReadingChallenge: Book 12

Book 12: The Princess Saves Herself in This One by Amanda Lovelace

Picked up this book of poetry after seeing it advertised to me on Instagram (I’m a sucker for advertising 🙈), but I really enjoyed it. I don’t think I’ve ever read poetry willingly and I ended up marking quite a few pages that I liked (Harry Potter references, loss of mother/grief, love poems, a few that just sounded badass…you know, the usual things I highlight while reading). TBH I read this book a few times already and I’m definitely interested in picking up the two books that follow it.

I chose this poem to design because I feel this way about so many people in my life. 🖤
